Nashville receives draft assets
The Predators received a conditional first-round pick and a second-round selection in the 2028 NHL Draft. Nashville’s front office said the deal provides additional flexibility in the draft and salary-cap structure.
The trade also creates an opportunity for younger Nashville wingers to compete for larger roles. That can help the Predators evaluate their internal pipeline while maintaining long-term roster flexibility.
New Jersey adds another piece
